  • Fixed Price Gift Cheque : 500 baht
  • Unspecified Gift Cheque : from 100 to 50,000 baht
  • Special Gift Cheque Set (gift cheque with a Hallmark greeting card) : from 100 to 50,000 baht
Fees
  • Cashing of a gift cheque outside the clearing district is liable to a fee of 0.05% of the cheque amount, minimum 5 baht / cheque
  • Special gift cheques are excluded from fees

Can gift cheques from any bank be cashed at all KBank branches?

Yes, but not for cash. They will be deposited into the bank account pending the clearing process between banks.

Is there any fee?

For gift cheques from any bank with a value not more than 200,000 baht, when the cheque goes through the clearing process between banks, there is no collection fee.

If the cheque cannot be cashed, what should I do?

Contact the payer bank.

After buying a gift cheque, what is my guarantee that the cheque is cashable?

Since the gift cheque is an instrument issued by the bank, it is ensured that it can be cashed.

Can the recipient deposit the gift cheque into a bank account? If yes, which accounts?

Gift cheques can be deposited into the following bank accounts: current deposit account, savings account, and fixed deposit account (according to the amount specified by the bank).

If the gift cheque recipient is a child, can he or she cash it? How old does a recipient need to be to be eligible?

Yes, there is no age limitation.
