If the cheque is lost, what should I do?
If the cashier's cheque is lost or stolen, the cheque payee or the person who wants to replace the cheque must report the matter to the police in the vicinity where the cheque was lost or stolen and present a copy of the police report to the bank, as well as informing the bank of the name and address of all persons related to that cheque, such as endorsing person, the payee, and/or the person who wants to replace the cheque. A cashier's cheque can be canceled only at the bank branch where the cheque was originally purchased.
