How can I add my LINE POINTS Credit Card to my LINE Pay account ?

For a new card

  1. Select the Start using LINE Pay button on the Wallet tab to “Verify your identity” and link it to your LINE Pay account.
  2. Once you have successfully registered and verified your identity, See Steps for Adding
    a Credit Card. You can also tap the Add Credit Card > option to confirm the process. This completes the card addition process for cardholders.

For a replacement card

You must first delete the old credit card that was registered with LINE Pay and then add your new credit card to LINE Pay. See Steps for Deleting and Adding a Credit Card.

Where can I use LINE POINTS ?

You can use LINE POINTS as a cash discount when purchasing stickers, themes, and melodies on store.line.me or when paying for goods and/or services with LINE Pay E-Wallet at stores designated by LINE Pay. Currently, there are more than 300,000 online and offline participating stores nationwide.

What is the maximum credit limit of the LINE POINTS Credit Card ?

Maximum credit limit for both primary and supplementary card is 500,000 Baht.

What are LINE POINTS earned with the LINE POINTS Credit Card? ?

LINE POINTS are reward points offered by LINE Pay to LINE POINTS Credit Cardholders who meet KBank’s established conditions. These points are credited to the LINE Pay E-Wallet of the cardholder who has activated the LINE Pay E-Wallet service in accordance with the terms and conditions within the specified period.

What is the value of LINE POINTS ?

1 LINE POINT = 1 Baht

How can I get LINE POINTS ?

You must open a LINE Pay account and add your LINE POINTS Credit Card to the e-wallet for receiving LINE POINTS earned from using your credit card.

Important note :

If you use your LINE POINTS Credit Card without adding it to the e-wallet of LINE Pay, you will not earn LINE POINTS.

Notes :
  • Once the process is complete, you will receive an automatic notification stating the conditions for LINE POINTS accumulation which will take effect the next day from the date you link your LINE POINTS Credit Card to earn LINE POINTS from spending through the card.
  • In case of a new credit card being issued to replace the original card, due to any reason such as card loss, damage, or replacement, the cardholder must add the new credit card to the LINE Pay account before using the new credit card. This is to ensure that the cardholder is eligible to receive LINE POINTS. The cardholder must first delete the old credit card that was previously registered with LINE Pay.
When will I receive LINE POINTS earned from using my LINE POINTS Credit Card ?

Cardholders will receive LINE POINTS on the next day after the merchant confirms the collection of payment for goods/services with the Bank. In case of payments made at stores of other banks, cardholders will receive LINE POINTS on the next day after KBank receives the instruction to collect payment from the cardholder through the Card Scheme Provider.

Cardholders will be notified of the maximum LINE POINTS they can earn via a transaction notification message from the LINE Wallet Official Account on the LINE app. They can check the actual LINE POINTS they have earned in the LINE POINTS History section of the LINE Pay E-Wallet.

If you have swiped your card to purchase goods and the transaction appears in K PLUS application, but you have not received a transaction notification from the LINE Wallet Official Account via the LINE application, or if you have paid via LINE Pay and received a transaction notification but the number of Points to be earned = 0 P, this means that the store is in the MCC category that is not eligible for LINE POINTS.

How to calculate LINE POINTS ?

Number of LINE POINTS earned: Card spending amount x LINE POINTS rate*
(*LINE POINTS rate*: 1% LINE POINTS of card spending amount)

  • For card spending from July 1, 2023 onwards, cardholders will earn 1% LINE POINTS for their spending, unless otherwise determined by KBank.
  • The number of LINE POINTS earned in each billing cycle is limited to 1 percent of the card’s permanent credit limit of that billing cycle (excluding temporary limit requested during the billing cycle).
    Example for calculation of LINE
    POINTS per billing cycle: permanent credit limit of 100,000 Baht, billing cycle from the 1st to 30th day and due date on the 15th day of following month
    • Spending 100,000 Baht with due date on the 15th day of the following month
      >> 100,000 x 1% = 1,000 LINE POINTS
    • Request increased temporary limit of 20,000 Baht and spend 120,000 Baht
      >> 100,000 x 1% = 1,000 LINE POINTS (additional expenses of 20,000 Baht are not eligible for LINE POINTS)
    • Spend 100,000 Baht and pay card bill on the 26th day of the month and spend additional 50,000 Baht on 28th day of that month
      >> 100,000 x 1% = 1,000 LINE POINTS (additional expenses of 50,000 Baht are not eligible for LINE POINTS)
  • In case of a change in the permanent credit limit of LINE POINTS Credit Card during the billing cycle (request for increase or decrease in credit limit), the Bank will calculate LINE POINTS based on the current permanent credit limit. However, the new permanent credit limit will be used as a reference for calculating LINE POINTS in the next billing cycle.
    Example of calculation
    During the current billing cycle from the 1st to 30th date, due date is the 15th day of the following month, and the permanent credit limit is 100,000 Baht. If increased temporary credit limit of 50,000 Baht is request on the 20th day:
    Spending of 150,000 Baht >>> 100,000 Baht x 1% = 1,000 LINE POINTS (expenses of 50,000 Baht are not eligible for LINE POINTS).

    In the next billing cycle (from the first date of the following month):
    Spending of 150,000 Baht >> 150,000 Baht x 1% = 1,500 LINE POINTS
  • LINE POINTS to be received shall be in whole numbers; decimals/fractions shall be discarded.
    Example of LINE POINTS calculation

    • 29 x 1% = 0.29 >> 0 LINE POINTS
    • 999 x 1% = 9.99 >> 9 LINE POINTS
  • LINE POINTS will be calculated from payment amount accepted.
    • For full payment, LINE POINTS calculation will be based on the full payment amount.
    • For installment payment, LINE POINTS calculation will be based on the full amount before installment payment
    Example of LINE POINTS calculation based on installment payment:
    • Full payment amount before installment payment: 10,999 Baht (3 months installment) 10,999 x 1% = 109.99 >> 109 LINE POINTS
What are non-eligible transactions ?

Non-eligible transactions are as follows:

  • Transactions made at merchants registered in the countries of the European Economic Area (EEA) and the following specific countries and territories are excluded from earning LINE Point: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland (including the Islands of Oland), France (including French Guiana, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Réunion, Saint Barthélemy, and Mayotte), Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal (including the Azores and Madeira), Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain (including the Canary Islands, Ceuta, and Melilla), Sweden, Liechtenstein, and Iceland (including Svalbard and Jan Mayen), the United Kingdom (including Gibraltar), and the People's Republic of China (excluding Special Administrative Regions such as Hong Kong and Macau).
  • From 1 October 2024 onwards, payment in Thai Baht via LINE POINTS Credit Card at overseas merchants and online merchants registered outside Thailand shall not receive LINE POINTS.​
  • From 1 Jun 2025 onwards, payment in Supermarket (MCC 5333, 5411) via LINE POINTS Credit Card shall not receive LINE POINTS.
  • Cash advance from credit card account, utility payment (MCC 4900, 4814)*, electricity bill (MEA/PEA), water bill (MWA/PWA) and fixed-line telephone bill, taxes, all types of fees and unit-linked insurance premium, cash advance fee, application fee, annual fee, late payment fee, card replacement fee in case of lost card, penalty and interest

    From February 22, 2022 onwards, other non-eligible transactions are as follows:

    • Utility payment including electricity bill (MEA/PEA), water bill (MWA/PWA) and fixed-line telephone bill, taxes, all types of fees and unit-linked insurance premium, cash advance fee, application fee, annual fee, late payment fee, card replacement fee in case of lost card, penalty and interest
    • All types of insurance, all types of mutual funds, purchase of stocks or investment units, foreign exchange, purchase of foreign banknotes, money order, cashier’s cheque, trading of digital assets (crypto currency), funds transfer, cash advance, purchase of stored value card, e-wallet top-up (MCC 4829m 6010, 6011, 6012, 6211, 6051, 6300, 6540)
    • Charitable Social Service Organizations (MCC 8398)
    • Online service and other businesses under MCC 7399 such as online payment service providers and others such as MPay Shopping, PAYSBUY, OOKBEE, LOCK BOX and others/Online business such as payment facilitators and business services (not elsewhere classified) (MCC 7399)
    • Gold, jewelry stores, watches, clocks, and silverware stores (MCC 5944)
    • Fuel dealers, service stations (with or without ancillary services) automated fuel dispensers, fuel oil, wood, coal, and liquefied petroleum, UK PETROL STATIONS-ELECTRONIC HOT FILE (FOR REGIONAL USE ONLY) (MCC 5541,5542,5983,9752, 0022)
    • Hypermarkets, supermarkets and retail stores incorporated in other countries/Discount Stores (MCC 5310) such as Target (USA), ROSS (USA).
    • Other registered stores in the above MCC
    Will I earn LINE POINTS on purchases made before February 22, 2022, in categories that are not eligible for LINE POINTS effective February 22, 2022, but the merchant charges the Bank on or after February 22, 2022 ?
    • No, you will not earn LINE POINTS on any transactions that fall into the non-eligible categories effective February 22, 2022.
    Will I earn LINE POINTS on purchases made in department stores or supermarkets in Thailand ?
    • Yes

Note :
*The use of LINE POINTS Credit Card to pay for all types of utilities through all channels, including payment through agents such as various wallets, is not eligible for LINE POINTS in accordance with LINE POINTS Credit Card terms and conditions. The Bank also cancelled the LINE POINTS for all types of utility payments under MCC 4900, 4814, such as expressway fee, mobile phone bills, internet bills, etc., effective May 1, 2022.

Will LINE POINTS expire ?

Yes. They have a validity period of 365 (or 366) days from the date you earn them.
