To enhance security, KBank advises customers to upgrade K PLUS to the latest version for face scanning to verify their identity

​          To uplift its security level in transactions via K PLUS, KBank has asked customers to upgrade their K PLUS application to the latest version, 5.17.0, which has added a menu option for facial recognition. Users can easily perform the upgrade as follows:

​          ​1) Choose “More”

​          ​2) Choose “Settings”

​          ​3) Choose “Facial Verification with Bank”

​          ​Once KBank receives the customer’s facial scan data, the notification, “You have completed facial verification, which is now ready for use”, will be shown, and customers will be able to do a facial scan to verify their identity for making transactions via K PLUS.

​          ​For customers who have already verified their identity with their ID card, but have never scanned their face, K PLUS will instruct them to follow the directions on the screen for taking the necessary photo of their face.

​          ​For customers who have never verified their identity or scanned their face, the notification, “You have not yet undertaken the dip chip verification with your ID card at KBank service points”, will be shown on K PLUS, and customers will be instructed to bring their ID card for identity verification at any K-ATM or K Bank branch across Thailand.

​          ​To enhance transaction security, K PLUS customers shall conduct facial verification for three types of transactions: 1) funds transfer of 50,000 Baht or more per transaction; 2) funds transfer of 200,000 Baht per day for all transactions; and 3) increase of daily transaction limit.
