KBank maintains its position in the Dow Jones Best-in-Class Indices (DJ BIC) for both the World and Emerging Markets categories for 10 consecutive years — the first bank in Thailand and ASEAN to achieve this milestone

KASIKORNBANK (KBank) reinforces its leadership in sustainability at the international level with its selection as a member of the Dow Jones Best-in-Class Indices (DJ BIC) in both the World and Emerging Markets categories for the 10th consecutive year. It is the first bank in Thailand and the ASEAN region to achieve this recognition, reflecting its success in integrating sustainability into its business strategy and delivering tangible value to its customers and society.

Ms. Kattiya Indaravijaya, KBank Chief Executive Officer, said that the Bank recognizes the challenges of a rapidly changing business landscape across economic, social, environmental, and technological dimensions, which are shaping the expectations of stakeholders at all levels. The Bank is committed to advancing its sustainability efforts through a holistic, issue-based Sustainability Strategy, with a strong focus on systematically managing key priorities. These include being a trusted and reliable bank, standing alongside customers to move forward into the future together, and fostering inclusive and broad-based growth, ultimately delivering sustainable value to all stakeholders.

Most recently, KBank has been selected as a member of the Dow Jones Best-in-Class Indices (DJ BIC) – formerly known as DJSI – in both the World and Emerging Markets categories for the 10th consecutive year, becoming the first bank in Thailand and ASEAN to do so. The selection is based on the Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) conducted by S&P Global Sustainable, covering environmental, social, governance, and economic dimensions. The Bank has consistently maintained high standards of performance, with notable achievements over the past year. It has strengthened trust and confidence through leadership in products and services, including digital banking, wealth management, and customer satisfaction. With a strong customer-centric approach, the Bank continues to develop financial innovations that comprehensively address customer needs, while adhering to good governance and market conduct practices. It has also integrated environmental, social, and governance (ESG) considerations into its credit underwriting process to ensure high-quality lending aligned with customers’ capabilities.

In addition, the Bank is progressing towards achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions from its operations (Scope 1 and 2) by 2030, having already reduced emissions by 21.48 percent compared to the 2020 base year. The Bank is also driving net-zero emissions within its portfolio (Scope 3) in line with Thailand’s framework and Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) targets. This is achieved by supporting businesses in their transition with tailored tools and solutions, capitalizing on environmental changes, and promoting a comprehensive carbon ecosystem across all dimensions of climate action – reaffirming the Bank’s position as a provider of end-to-end climate solutions to enhance the competitiveness of the Thai business sector. Additionally, the Bank prioritizes promoting financial inclusion and inclusive growth, particularly among retail and SME customers. This is paired with elevating financial and cyber literacy, fostering financial discipline under Responsible Lending principles, and continuously organizing activities to develop youth potential and support public benefits. The Bank also focuses on upskilling its workforce to adapt to business transformations while strictly adhering to respect for human rights and diversity, all to drive sustainable and inclusive growth across every dimension.

Ms. Kattiya added that being included in the Dow Jones Best-in-Class Indices for the 10th consecutive year reflects the success of the Bank’s ongoing and concrete business operations as a Bank of Sustainability, in alignment with international assessment standards. This underscores the Bank’s commitment to guiding all individuals and businesses through challenges, enabling them to grow steadily and sustainably together in the long run.
