Ms. Kattiya Indaravijaya (right), Chief Executive Officer of KASIKORNBANK (KBank), welcomed Mrs. Saysamone Chanthachack (left), Managing Director of Banque Pour Le Commerce Exterieur Lao Public or BCEL, on the occasion of her participation in KBank I Techsauce: EMPOWER THE FUTURE ECONOMY, an Affiliated Program of the 2026 Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank Group, hosted by Thailand.
For more than 14 years, BCEL and KBank have maintained a strong and trusted partnership, supporting financial and business connectivity between Lao People's Democratic Republic (Lao PDR) and Thailand. Both banks have played key roles in the Thailand–Lao PDR cross-border QR payment linkage under the cooperation framework between the Bank of Thailand (BOT) and the Bank of the Lao PDR (BOL). This initiative enhances the convenience and efficiency of cross-border transactions while supporting trade, tourism, and economic activities between the two countries. It also underscores the important role of both banks in strengthening financial connectivity and fostering sustainable economic growth in both countries.
