Frequently Asked Questions
Within how any years does the investor have the right to redeem early? Is there any prepayment fee ?
Generally, the investment cannot be redeemed prior to the agreed-upon date, except as stipulated in the K-Smart Note's terms and conditions. If an investor is allowed to redeem prematurely, there is no prepayment fee. If early redemption is necessary, however, the bank reserves the right to charge fees and expenses incurred by the bank due to the early redemption.
Can a K-Smart Note be purchased at any branch ?
The bank offers such notes via a customer relations officer or specified capital markets business line officers only. It is not generally offered at branches, since it is a product of the Office of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). As the product is high risk, it is required that a person who is expert in financial products describe it in detail.
