What is the difference in card use between the new and previous chip-embedded debit card ?

The new chip-embedded debit card under the new standard offers greater security for cardholders, as they must enter a 6-digit PIN for both cash withdrawal at ATM, and identity authentication when making payments with merchants.

What are the additional privileges of this new-design debit card ?

Holders of this new debit card are entitled to buy a movie ticket for 100 Baht at Major theatres, in addition to SF cinemas.

If I want to replace my existing debit card with the new one, what fees do I have to pay ?

If you are currently holding a magnetic stripe card, no application fee for the new debit card will be charged; you pay only the annual fee (250 Baht for K-My Debit Card or 650 Baht for K-Max Debit Card). You will also get a refund for the annual fee already paid for your existing card, on a prorated basis.

If you are currently holding a chip card, you have to pay a 150 Baht application fee and annual fee (250 Baht for K-My Debit Card or 650 Baht for K-Max Debit Card). You will get a refund for the annual fee already paid for your existing card, on a prorated basis.

Details
