K-Cheque Alert 

 
Key Features

K-Cheque Alert is an SMS alert in Thai or English for all cheque-related matters such as cheque status, cheques pending collection, returned cheques, as well as available account balance. The service can help customers save the time and expense of traveling to the bank, and allows customers to effectively manage their current accounts for boundless business, in part by reducing the problem of returned cheques.

Customers can choose to receive SMS alerts in either Thai or English when applying for the service, featuring:

  • Alerts on cheques pending collection at the end of the day, and their total amount, will be sent at around 8 p.m. every business day. The SMS will specify the last seven digits of the account number.
  • An SMS showing the available account balance at the end of the day will be sent at around 8:30 p.m. every business day of the Bank. The SMS will specify the last seven digits of the account number.

* An SMS alerting customers of a negative (-) current account balance at the end of the day means such customers’ payments have exceeded the O/D. To prevent returned cheques, customers have to credit their account with enough money to eliminate the negative balance, before 10:00 p.m.

  • An SMS giving notice of returned cashier’s cheques will notify customers who make payment with cheques in Bangkok and the Metropolitan Clearing District, at around 11:00 a.m. on the day the notification is issued. The Bank will provide the details of the specific cheque.
  • An SMS giving notice of returned deposit cheques will notify customers who deposit cheques in Bangkok and the Metropolitan Clearing District.
    • The 1st period,  is for the returned cheques of other banks. The branch will receive the returned cheques within the same business day.
    • The 2nd period, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., is for the returned cheques of KBank. The branch will receive the returned cheques on the next business day.
Service Details

K-Cheque Alert is offered only to customers having a KBank current account within Bangkok and the Metropolitan Clearing District.

The service is offered via all mobile phone networks (except Hutch), with one current account per mobile phone number. Applicants can also specify one savings account number (at the same branch as the current account) for an SMS alert of available balance in the savings account at the end of the day, and returned deposit cheques.

 Service fee

A fixed service fee of 48 Baht will be debited from the customers’ current account on the first day of every month.

  • Natural persons can apply for the service through the K-Contact Center at 02 888 8888.
        Required documents
  • For natural persons: a certified copy of National ID card
  • For juristic persons:
    • A certified copy of the juristic person certificate issued within month
    • A certified copy of authorized signatory
        Termination or Change of Service
  • Both juristic and natural persons can fill in the form requesting termination / change of this service at the account owner’s branch.
  • Only natural persons can terminate / change this service via the K-Contact Center at 02-888-8888.
        Required documents

  • For natural persons: a certified copy of National ID card
  • For juristic persons:
    • A certified copy of the juristic person certificate issued within the previous month
    • A certified copy of authorized signatory
