Application/changing/canceling procedure
There are 2 channels available as follows:
1. K-Contact Center 0-2888-8888, available 24 hours
2. K-ATM
- Any KBank ATM nationwide from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
You must use your debit and/or credit card, plus your PIN number
Application process
Complete the following steps:
- Choose the menu option “Mutual Fund/Apply for Service/K-MobileBanking/Other”
- Choose “K-mAlert”
- Choose “Card Spending Alert”
- Choose “Apply for Card Spending Alert”
- Enter the 10-digit mobile phone number and press the “Correct” button
- Verify the mobile phone number and press the “Confirm” botton
- Read the conditions for the service application and press the “Confirm” button
- Get the transaction record slip
- Customers will receive an SMS to confirm the service application, “Your registration for K-mAlert: Card Spending for card no. x-1234 has been completed.”
Changing your information
To change mobile phone number
Complete the following steps:
1. Choose the menu option “Mutual Fund/Apply for Service/K-MobileBanking/Other”
2. Choose “K-mAlert”
3. Choose “Card Spending Alert”
4. Choose “Change Mobile Phone Number”
5. Enter the new phone number that you want to register, and press the “Correct” button
6. Verify the mobile phone number, and press the “Confirm” button
7. Get the Transaction Record slip
8. Customers will receive an SMS, “Your mobile phone no. for K-mAlert: Card Spending has been changed.”, confirming the transaction.
To change SMS language
Complete the following steps:
1. Choose the menu option “Mutual Fund/Apply for Service/K-MobileBanking/Other”
2. Choose “K-mAlert”
3. Choose “Card Spending Alert”
4. Choose “Change SMS Language”
5. Choose Thai or English
To cancel SMS News
1. Choose the menu option “Mutual Fund/Apply for Service/K-MobileBanking/Other”
2. Choose “K-mAlert”
3. Choose “Card Spending Alert”
4. Choose “Cancel SMS News”
5. Read the conditions for SMS News cancellation and press the “Confirm cancellation” button
6. Get the Transaction Record slip
7. Customers will receive an SMS, “Your mobile phone no. for K-mAlert: Card Spending has been changed.”, confirming the cancellation.
To cancel the K-mAlert service
Complete the following steps:
1. Choose the menu option “Mutual Fund/Apply for Service/K-MobileBanking/Other”
2. Choose “K-mAlert”
3. Choose “Card Spending Alert”
4. Choose “Cancel Card Spending Alert”
5. Read the conditions for K-mAlert cancellation and press the “OK” button
6. Get the Transaction Record slip
7. Customers will receive an SMS, “Your K-mAlert: Card Spending for card no. x-1234 has been cancelled.”, confirming the cancellation.
Terms and conditions of the service
1. The Bank offers K-mAlert to natural persons only. Interested persons can apply for the service. However, the Bank reserves the right of application approval.
2. Service users can use their debit or credit card plus their PIN number to apply for the service at KBank ATMs or other channels that the Bank will provide in the future. The service user is willing to receive information of spending with the card used in applying for the service, together with other news of the Bank, at the registered mobile phone number or mobile phone number that is revised later.
3. The applicant must have a mobile phone belonging to a participating mobile phone network. The application will be considered successful when the applicant has received the SMS confirming the result at the registered mobile phone number.
4. It is service users’ duty to secure confidential information received from the Bank via SMS at the registered mobile phone number.
5. The Bank will send SMS messages to service users for every debit card transaction once the card is slipped through the electronic data capture (EDC) for spending, and for transactions of 1,000 Baht or higher for the credit card that is slipped through the EDC or used via e-commerce, or for which the cardholder is asked for an approval code by merchants via telephone. The Bank reserves the right to change the minimum spending amount that triggers an SMS alert when it deems appropriate. The Bank will give notice of such a change in advance, or post a notice at the Bank’s branches and website.
6. The Bank does not charge a service fee, except for an international joint network cost that may be charged by your network provider. As a result, the Bank reserves the right to change the service fee when it deems appropriate. The Bank will give notice of such a change in advance, or post a notice at the Bank’s branches and website. And the service user is willing to allow the Bank to immediately deduct the service fee that is due from the KBank account of the service user.
7. The objective of the service is only to inform the service users of their card spending. The Bank will not take any responsibility for the SMS messages sent, or for any damage from the use of such a service offered by the Bank. In case the service user does not receive a message, there will be no impact on their bill payment.
8. The Bank reserves the right to change terms and conditions as it deems appropriate, and has the right to terminate part or all of the K-mAlert: Debit/Credit Card Spending service, or to stop providing the service to one or all service users, without advance notice.
9. If the Bank finds it necessary to disclose financial transactions or transactions related to the service usage of one or many service users to a court or a government agency under regulatory requirements, the service user allows the Bank to disclose or issue a report about financial transactions of the service user to the court, government officers or government units in all respects.
10. If service users would like to terminate the K-mAlert service or SMS News, or change the registered mobile phone number or SMS language, they can do it via the Bank’s ATMs or other channels that the Bank will provide in the future.
