  • The 30-month fixed deposit product caters to depositors aged 55 and above. 
  • Its deposit rate is equal to the deposit rate of a 24-month fixed deposit (at the lowest deposit limits for a natural person) + 0.15 percent, p.a. or as the Bank’s announcement.
  • The monthly interest will be automatically transferred to a linked savings or current account.
  • Depositors enjoy tax-free interest payment (The combined interest of all types of fixed accounts must be up to 30,000 Baht per year in accordance with the Revenue Department’s regulations).
  • This product offers personal accident insurance coverage equal to the outstanding balance of Happy Senior Fixed Deposit or up to 1,000,000 Baht, plus bone fracture coverage up to 10,000 Baht and accident-related medical expenses up to 5,000 Baht per accident/incident.

Details of Personal Accident Insurance 
  • An insurable depositor is a natural person, aged 55-70.
  • Details for personal accident insurance under Happy Senior Fixed Deposit are as follows:

Coverage limits per Person

1. Loss of life, or organ(s) and sight, or other permanent disability (P.A. 1*) caused by:

 

1.1 Accident   

Equal to the outstanding balance of Happy Senior Fixed Deposit (not over 1,000,000 Baht)

1.2 Malicious killing or injury

Up to 100,000 Baht

1.3 Accident due to driving or riding a motorcycle

Up to 100,000 Baht

2. Bone fracture due to accident as determined by Muang Thai Insurance PCL.

Up to 10,000 Baht throughout the deposit term

3. Medical expenses per each accident/incident (including accident due to driving or riding a motorcycle)

Up to 5,000 Baht per accident

  • 24-hour coverage worldwide
  • The coverage begins on the Happy Senior Fixed Deposit account opening date and expires on the Happy Senior Fixed Deposit account closing date, or when the depositor turns 70 years old.
  • The Bank shall reserve the right not to provide personal accident insurance under Happy Senior Fixed Deposit, if the outstanding balance of the Happy Senior Fixed Deposit account is below 100,000 Baht per person (one day before the depositor’s death or accident according to the conditions of personal accident insurance of the Happy Senior Fixed Deposit product).

How to apply or use
Account opening
  • Deposit shall be 100,000 Baht – 1,000,000 Baht per depositor.
  • Eligible depositors must be a natural person opening an account in the name of a single person.
  • Depositors must have a savings or current account with KBank for receiving monthly interest transfer.
  • The Bank reserves the right not to pay interest for the deposit exceeding 1,000,000 Baht per person and/or to transfer the amount in excess of 1,000,000 Baht    per person to another linked savings or current account.
 
Required documents for account opening 
  •  A copy of national ID card or other card with a photo issued by competent government authorities
  •  A copy of house registration certificate
